Homes for Ukraine Families displaced by the ongoing conflict in the Ukraine have been supported by Nottinghamshire County Council's involvement in the Homes for Ukraine Scheme. Over one thousand displaced refugees have been supported to live in Nottinghamshire with host families across the county.

Cold homes have also been found to exacerbate mental health conditions with depression and anxiety more common among people living in cold and damp conditions. In young people, 28% living in cold homes reported four or more negative mental health symptoms, compared with only 4% of young people who had always lived in warm homes (25).
