Scheme to get students on board buses shortlisted for national award

Software was used to model how students could be transferred onto the local bus network and new and improved bus routes were launched by trentbarton and Stagecoach to accommodate this. trentbarton extended its Ripley to Sutton-in-Ashfield 90 service to operate through to Mansfield meaning that West Notts College’s four main campuses on are now all connected by bus.

Nottinghamshire County Council has worked with bus operators Stagecoach, Vectare, Gem Mini Travel, Marshalls, CT4N and Centrebus to launch the ticket. Passengers can now board buses and ask for an All Rounder ticket; and are advised to check with each operator as to whether tickets can be purchased online and through operator apps.
